Cripple Bastards are an Italian grindcore band whose roots go back to the late 1980s underground extreme metal scene. Cripple Bastards were formed in 1988 in Asti, Piedmont, by Giulio the Bastard and Alberto the Crippler, both former members of the grindcore band Grimcorpses. From the outset, they brought an unfiltered energy to the Italian underground, combining sheer speed with punk-inflected aggression. Over the years the band underwent several line-up changes, yet the spirit of ferocity remained intact.
The current line-up, which continues to deliver the band’s dense, heavy, and precise grindcore sound, features Giulio the Bastard on vocals, Schintu the Wretched on bass, Der Kommissar and Eugenio Sambasile on guitars, and Raphael Saini on drums. This ensemble combines years of experience with relentless energy, keeping the band’s sound sharp, punishing, and unmistakably Cripple Bastards.
