Shy, Low are an American post-rock and post-metal band with roots across Richmond, Virginia, Providence, Rhode Island, and Los Angeles, California. Formed in 2011 after the breakup of the metal-influenced project Vessel, the band have steadily built a reputation for expansive, instrumental music that values patience, weight, and atmosphere over shortcuts. They are signed to Pelagic Records, a label well known for forward-thinking heavy and experimental artists.
The current lineup features Zak Bryant, Gregg Peterson, and Kai Zamora on guitars, alongside Drew Storcks on bass and Dylan Partridge on drums. With three guitarists in the mix, Shy, Low are able to stack textures and melodies in a way that feels dense but controlled rather than cluttered.
