Num Skull were an Thrash metal and Death metal band, formed in 1985 in Winthrop Harbor, Illinois. Known for their crushing riffs, guttural vocals, and dark, apocalyptic themes, Num Skull combined the speed and aggression of early thrash with heavier death metal, creating a brutal yet precise sound that appealed to fans of both classic and modern extreme metal.
Num Skull began as a thrash metal band before transitioning fully into death metal. Their sound combined heavy, down-tuned guitars, relentless blast beats, and guttural vocals, with lyrics often centred on Hell, violence, and apocalyptic themes.
The band was founded by Tom Brandner (guitar), Skip McGullam (vocals), and Jeff McGullam (drums). By 1988, the classic Ritually Abused line-up included Eric Seiller (guitars) and Rob Charrier (bass) alongside the founders. Over time, members departed, leaving the final configuration as Jeff McGullam on drums and Skip McGullam on vocals.
In 1991, Num Skull recorded the album Future – Our Terror, though it was never officially released. Throughout their history, the band went through several official splits, with their most recent status listed as split-up.
This page focuses primarily on Num Skull T-shirts, sourced from Relapse Records and other trusted distributors. Designs reflect the band’s violent, hellish death metal aesthetic, ideal for fans of brutal, aggressive extreme metal.
Stock rotates regularly, so if something catches your eye it’s worth picking it up while available. We’re also looking to expand the range with more T-shirts and hoodies in the near future. We do occasionally carry releases on CD and vinyl alongside the apparel selection. Fans of Dying Fetus, Cannibal Corpse, and Cattle Decapitation will find Num Skull delivers a similarly fast, brutal, and technically sharp extreme metal experience.
