From Formation to Underground Legacy
Integrity formed in 1988, with the original lineup featuring vocalist Dwid Hellion (real name John Brian McClimans), guitarist Aaron Melnick, bassist Tom Front, and drummer Tony Pines. Over the years, there have been several lineup changes, but Hellion has remained the only constant member. The “classic” lineup responsible for acclaimed albums like Systems Overload typically includes Leon Melnick on bass, Mark Konopka on drums, and Chris Smith on guitar.
Integrity’s music merges the raw power of hardcore with doom-laden metallic riffs and apocalyptic themes. Their recordings often explore darkness, spirituality, and societal collapse, delivered with relentless energy, ferocious vocals, and precise instrumentation. Their ability to evolve while staying true to their roots has made them a benchmark for both hardcore purists and metal enthusiasts.
