Humour are a Glasgow band who formed during the 2021 lockdowns, writing and recording at home while the music grew around Andreas’ lyrics. The words are the point, and they land because they feel unforced. Sometimes it is about letting people down, sometimes it is about pets dying, sometimes it is about trying to say something when you are not even sure you have anything worth saying.
Sound wise, they sit in that tense space between post-hardcore bite and post-punk unease. The guitars can be jagged and bright, then suddenly heavy and dragged out, with drums that keep things on edge. It is direct music, but there is loads going on if you give it a few listens.
If you are starting from scratch, the two EPs Pure Misery and A Small Crowd Gathered to Watch Me set the mood nicely, then the debut album Learning Greek pulls the whole thing into focus. It is a proper step up and it has that rare feeling of a band arriving fully formed.
This category is audio-only for now. We stock Humour on CD and vinyl. Titles can come and go depending on availability, so if you spot one you have been after, it is worth grabbing while it is in.
We are also looking to source T-shirts and hoodies as soon as possible. Keep your eyes peeled and they will show up here when we can get them in.
