Amenra are a Belgian post-metal band formed in Kortrijk in 1999. They are widely regarded as one of the most influential and emotionally intense acts in modern heavy music, known for their ritualistic live performances and deeply atmospheric sound.
Over their career, Amenra have developed a distinctive identity blending post-metal, sludge, and ambient influences, often centred around themes of grief, trauma, spirituality, and catharsis.
