Twinesuns are a drone and experimental trio based in Bielefeld, Germany, known for crafting music that pushes the boundaries of metal and sound. Their compositions are hypnotic, immersive, and deeply textured, blending guitars, synths, and analogue effects into sprawling, meditative arrangements. Twinesuns favour raw, live-in-studio recording techniques that preserve the immediacy and dreamlike atmosphere of their sound.
The band consists of Thor Ohe (Florian von der Ohe) on guitars, Axe-FX, and bass cabinets; C. (Christian Braunschmidt) on baritone guitars, Ebow, and analogue delay; and Renzo T. Especial on Moog synthesizer, noise, and vocals/words. Together, they create “earth-shakingly heavy” music, according to reviewers at Punktastic, using hypnotic guitars and pulsing synthesizers without traditional percussion.
Twinesuns’ approach is deliberately immersive and experimental, combining monolithic feedback walls, humming synth melodies, and dense, viscous textures.
