British alternative rock band unpeople combine towering riffs, sharp melodic hooks and rich vocal harmonies with lyrics shaped by frustration, vulnerability and the pressures of modern life. The four-piece features guitarists and vocalists Jake Crawford and Luke Caley alongside bassist Em Lodge and drummer Richard Rayner, bringing together elements of alternative rock, post-hardcore, progressive music and modern metal without settling comfortably into any single category.
Following their self-titled EP in 2024, unpeople quickly established themselves as one of the most exciting emerging bands in the UK heavy and alternative scene. Their energetic live performances have taken them to major stages including Download Festival, Copenhell and RADAR Festival, while their growing reputation was recognised with the Best Breakthrough Live Artist award at the 2026 Heavy Music Awards.
The band’s debut full-length album, we are unpeople, arrives through SharpTone Records on 9 October 2026. Featuring tracks including “friends”, “clouds”, “the garden” and “waste”, the record expands on the band’s mix of hefty guitars, memorable choruses and emotionally direct songwriting.
