Fatal Embrace are a Swedish blackened death metal band formed in Varberg in 1992. Their sound combines melodic black metal atmosphere with death metal aggression, rooted in the Scandinavian extreme metal tradition.
After an initial active period in the 1990s, the band later reformed in 2016 and continued releasing new material through Black Lion Records.
Fatal Embrace are known for blending harsh death metal riffing with bleak, melodic black metal atmospheres. Their music often features mid-to-fast tempo aggression, melancholic undertones, and a distinctly Nordic sense of darkness.
