Cavetown is the project of Robin Skinner, and it sits in that calm, comforting corner of indie rock and bedroom pop where a simple melody can do a lot of work. The songs often lean on soft guitars, gentle ukulele lines, and home studio warmth. It is not about showing off. It is about getting a feeling across clearly.
A big reason people connect with Cavetown is the writing. The lyrics are personal, plain spoken, and good at putting names to things that are hard to say out loud, especially around mental health. It can be tender, funny, awkward, and heavy, sometimes all in the same track. If you like music that feels like a chat with someone who gets it, you will probably find a few lifers here.
If you are new, pick an album cover that pulls you in and give it a full listen. Cavetown works best when you let the quieter songs sit next to the bigger moments, rather than skipping around for singles.
This category is audio-only for now. We stock Cavetown on CD and vinyl. Titles can come and go depending on availability, so if you spot one you have been after, it is worth grabbing while it is in.
We are also working on getting T-shirts and hoodies in as soon as we can. Keep an eye on this page and they will show up here when we land them.
