Exodus are an American thrash metal band formed in Richmond, California in 1979. They are widely regarded as one of the pioneering bands of the Bay Area thrash metal scene, playing a key role in shaping the genre’s aggressive speed, attitude, and riff-driven identity.
Often cited alongside Metallica, Slayer, and Megadeth, Exodus helped define the early sound of thrash metal with a rawer, more violent edge.
