Thin Lizzy are an Irish rock band formed in Dublin in 1969 by vocalist/bassist Phil Lynott. They are widely regarded as one of the most influential hard rock bands of the 1970s, known for their twin-guitar harmonies, poetic songwriting, and Lynott’s distinctive voice and storytelling lyrics.
Blending hard rock with Celtic influences, blues, and lyrical narrative depth, Thin Lizzy helped shape the sound of melodic hard rock and influenced countless heavy metal bands that followed.
