Bury Tomorrow are a British metalcore band formed in Hampshire, England in 2006. The original lineup consisted of rhythm guitarist and vocalist Jason Cameron, drummer Adam Jackson, lead vocalist Andy Byrne, keyboardist Daniel Winter-Bates, bassist Davyd Winter-Bates and lead guitarist Mehdi Vismara.
From the beginning, Bury Tomorrow were determined to champion metalcore at a time when some critics and sections of the music press were questioning the genre's relevance. Following the departure of Andy Byrne in 2007, Daniel Winter-Bates moved from keyboards to become the band's frontman, helping shape the vocal identity that would become central to Bury Tomorrow's sound.
Their sound blends metalcore aggression with melodic metal influences, balancing soaring clean vocals, harsh screams and technical guitar work. While firmly rooted in modern metalcore, Bury Tomorrow have continually refined their style, incorporating atmospheric elements and increasingly expansive songwriting without sacrificing their trademark heaviness.
Emerging during a period when British metal was gaining international recognition, Bury Tomorrow built a reputation through relentless touring and a succession of increasingly confident releases. Their music struck a balance between accessibility and aggression, appealing to both long-time metalcore fans and newer listeners discovering the genre.
As their career progressed, the band became known for combining anthemic choruses with breakdown-heavy arrangements, helping them carve out a distinct identity within the modern metal scene. Despite changes within the lineup over the years, Bury Tomorrow have remained committed to evolving their sound while retaining the energy and emotional weight that first earned them a dedicated following.
