Discharge are an English D-beat hardcore band formed in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire in 1977. Founded by brothers Terry "Tezz" Roberts and Roy "Rainy" Wainwright, the band became one of the most influential acts in the history of punk and extreme music, pioneering the aggressive style that came to be known as D-beat.
