Free Throw are a Nashville emo band who have been turning messy feelings into shout along songs since the early 2010s. They sit in that sweet spot where the guitars stay bright and busy, but the lyrics hit close to home. It is melodic, scrappy, and built for sweaty rooms as much as it is for headphones.
They first made noise with Those Days Are Gone, then kept stretching out across releases like Bear Your Mind, What’s Past Is Prologue, Piecing It Together, and Lessons That We Swear to Keep. These days they are working with Wax Bodega, and the newer stuff keeps the same heart on sleeve energy, just with a sharper edge and bigger hooks.
