Malevolent Creation are an American death metal band originally formed in Buffalo, New York in 1987, later becoming a key part of the Florida death metal scene. Known for their speed, aggression, and technical precision, Malevolent Creation are one of the longest-running and most consistent bands in death metal.
Emerging during the late 1980s explosion of extreme metal, Malevolent Creation developed a sound rooted in thrash-influenced death metal, combining fast riffing, complex solos, and relentless drumming.

Following the success of their first demo, they moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1988 and became a part of the emergent local death metal scene, eventually leading them to be signed by Roadrunner Records. In 1991, their debut album, 'The Ten Commandments', became something of a landmark in the death metal scene, expanding on the early work of bands such as Death, Obituary and Possessed.
