Toxic Holocaust are an American thrash metal band formed in Portland, Oregon in 1999. The project is primarily driven by musician Joel Grind and is widely regarded as one of the key forces in the modern “blackened thrash” and underground crossover revival scenes.
Known for their raw production style, punk energy, and extreme speed, Toxic Holocaust blend thrash metal with black metal and hardcore punk influences.
Toxic Holocaust’s sound is defined by lo-fi intensity, fast tremolo riffing, and stripped-down, aggressive songwriting. Their music draws heavily from 1980s thrash and first-wave black metal aesthetics.
