Meejah are a Danish-Korean post/experimental band based in Copenhagen. Known for blending glitch, ambient, and bass-driven electronics, Meejah create immersive soundscapes that sit between club music and abstract sonic art.
They explore texture, rhythm, and atmosphere through a modern electronic lens, often collaborating with artists across experimental and heavy music scenes. They take influence from post-rock, post-metal, ambient, ethereal noise, gritty trip hop, tibetan singing bowls and gongs, Korean pansori singing and shoegaze.
Meejah’s sound is defined by abstract textures, fragmented rhythms, and deep low-end emphasis. Rather than traditional album cycles, the project centres on both standalone works and collaborations.
The music frequently shifts between ambient passages and heavier, more rhythmically driven structures, reflecting a hybrid approach to composition.
Queen of Spring (2024) – debut full-length album showcasing a broader sonic palette, combining ambient layering, bass-driven electronics, and more structured composition.
Interwoven (2026) – collaborative EP release with HIRAKI merging experimental electronics with noise rock and industrial textures, expanding the project’s reach into heavier underground scenes.
Meejah represent a growing movement of artists operating between electronic experimentation and underground heavy music. The project’s collaborative nature and focus on texture-driven composition place it within a modern network of genre-fluid creators.
Fans of artists such as Tim Hecker, Autechre, and Ben Frost are likely to appreciate MEEJAH’s immersive and abstract sonic approach.
All MEEJAH releases we carry are official physical formats only, focusing on vinyl and limited-edition formats sourced from authorised labels and distributors.
