The New Roses are a modern rock band from Wiesbaden, Germany, known for their straight-ahead sound, gritty energy, and big, uplifting choruses. Blending classic hard rock spirit with a contemporary edge, the band deliver music that’s punchy, melodic, and built to be played loud — whether you’re on the road or filling the house with noise.
The project began in 2007, founded by singer Timmy Rough and drummer Urban Berz. After several years of building momentum, the band officially adopted the name The New Roses in 2012, marking the start of a more focused and ambitious chapter.
By the time the line-up was completed in 2012 with Stefan Kassner on bass and Dizzy Presley on guitar, The New Roses were already gaining serious live experience. Even before their official name change, the band had opened for an impressive list of artists including ZZ Top, Black Stone Cherry, Joe Bonamassa, Die Toten Hosen, Blackfoot, Kiss, and Roger Chapman — a clear sign of their growing reputation.
In 2010, the band toured as special guests for US southern rock legends Molly Hatchet on their Justice World Tour across Germany and Switzerland, further strengthening their credentials as a powerful and reliable live act.
In May 2014, bassist Stefan Kassner and guitarist Dizzy Presley left the band and were shortly replaced by Norman Bites on guitar and Hardy on bass. This line-up shift helped propel The New Roses into their next phase, supporting continued touring, recording, and steady international growth.
Now signed to Napalm Records, the band have built a loyal following through consistent releases, strong songwriting, and a no-nonsense approach to rock music that values energy, hooks, and authenticity over excess.
