Whitechapel

8 Products

Whitechapel are an American deathcore band from Knoxville, Tennessee, formed in 2006. Named after the infamous London district associated with the Jack the Ripper murders, the band helped shape the modern deathcore movement by combining brutal death metal, technical precision, and crushing breakdowns with dark, atmospheric songwriting. Their uncompromising heaviness and continual musical evolution have established them as one of the genre's most respected and influential bands.

The current line-up features Phil Bozeman (lead vocals), Ben Savage (lead guitar), Alex Wade (guitar), Zach Householder (guitar), Gabe Crisp (bass), and Brandon Zackey (drums). Throughout their career, Whitechapel have expanded their sound beyond traditional deathcore while retaining the devastating heaviness and technical musicianship that first brought them international recognition.

Deathcore with Technical Precision

Whitechapel combine deathcore, death metal, groove metal, and technical metal into a crushing and dynamic sound. Monolithic riffs, intricate guitar interplay, punishing breakdowns, and Phil Bozeman's powerful vocal range have become defining characteristics of the band's music. In later releases, the addition of clean vocals and more atmospheric arrangements has further broadened their creative scope.

Drawing influence from brutal death metal alongside groove and progressive metal, Whitechapel continue to evolve while remaining one of the heaviest bands in modern extreme music.
