Belfast’s And So I Watch You From Afar (ASIWYFA) make high-energy instrumental rock that fuses the drive of post-hardcore with post-rock scale and math-rock precision. Since forming in 2005, the quartet—Rory Friers (guitar), Niall Kennedy (guitar), Ewen Friers (bass) and Chris Wee (drums)—have built a reputation for wordless anthems: knotty guitar motifs, propulsive rhythms and big, communal crescendos.
Early releases on Smalltown America and Richter Collective established the blueprint, followed by a productive run with Sargent House (Gangs, All Hail Bright Futures, Heirs, The Endless Shimmering).
