Destruction are a German thrash metal band formed in Weil am Rhein in 1982. They are widely regarded as one of the "Big Four" of European thrash metal alongside Sodom, Kreator and Tankard as part of the “Teutonic thrash” movement.
Known for their aggressive speed, sharp riffs, and unmistakable vocal style, Destruction helped shape the darker, more extreme edge of 1980s thrash metal.
