Fontaines D.C. are an Irish post-punk band from Dublin, formed in 2014. Known for their raw energy, poetic lyrics, and uncompromising sound, the band have quickly risen to international acclaim, establishing themselves as one of the leading voices of the modern post-punk revival.
The band consists of Grian Chatten (vocals), Carlos O'Connell (guitar), Conor Curley (guitar), Conor Deegan III (bass), and Tom Coll (drums). Their debut album Dogrel was released in 2019 to widespread critical acclaim, earning a Mercury Prize nomination. They followed it up with A Hero’s Death (2020), which received a Grammy nomination, and Skinty Fia (2022), which reached number one on the UK Albums Chart, solidifying their place as one of the most important bands of the decade.
