Nasum were a Swedish grindcore band from Örebro, formed in 1992. Widely regarded as one of the most important bands in the second wave of grindcore, Nasum combined extreme speed and aggression with tight musicianship and modern production.
The band achieved international recognition in the late 1990s and early 2000s, helping redefine grindcore before disbanding in 2004 following the death of vocalist/guitarist Mieszko Talarczyk.
Nasum’s sound is defined by relentless blast beats, sharp riffing, and a balance between chaotic intensity and structured songwriting. Their music incorporates elements of death metal while retaining the speed and brevity of classic grindcore.
