Gruntruck is an American grunge band from Seattle, Washington, founded in 1989 by Ben McMillan and Norman Scott of Skin Yard. They were joined by Tommy Niemeyer (guitar) of The Accused and Tim Paul (bass) of Final Warning, forming a powerhouse lineup that blended grunge, metal, and hardcore influences.
Emerging during the height of the Seattle grunge scene, Gruntruck quickly gained recognition for their raw, heavy sound and emotionally charged performances. Their 1992 album, ‘Push’, is widely regarded as a lost grunge-era classic, earning praise from peers like Alice In Chains and Pearl Jam.
Gruntruck toured extensively, including supporting Alice In Chains during their iconic Dirt tour and joining Pantera on the Vulgar Display of Power tour. Known for their powerful riffs and intense live energy, Gruntruck remains an essential act for fans of 90s grunge and heavy alternative music.
