Siege of Power is an extreme metal project built for speed, grit, and zero excess. Originally formed in 2013 under the name First Class Elite, the band started as a low-expectation studio outlet. After an early split release, the project slipped into dormancy before being revived in 2017 — louder, faster, and far less polite. That return produced a burst of short, savage tracks that became the debut album Warning Blast.
Their operating principle remains straightforward: old-school death and thrash spirit, punk attitude, and songs that hit quickly and leave a mark. No grand concepts required.
Siege of Power draws from deep extreme metal roots on both sides of the Atlantic. The lineup features Chris Reifert on vocals (Autopsy, Violation Wound, Abscess, Painted Doll), Paul Baayens on guitars (Asphyx, ex-Hail of Bullets, Thanatos), Theo van Eekelen on bass (ex-Hail of Bullets, ex-Houwitser, ex-Grand Supreme Blood Court), and Bob Bagchus on drums (ex-Asphyx, Soulburn, ex-Grand Supreme Blood Court). It’s a veteran cast, though the music stays deliberately raw rather than polished.
The band trades in direct, hard-edged extreme metal — punchy riffs, driving drums, and hostile vocals delivered without unnecessary decoration. Death metal backbone, thrash velocity, and a touch of hardcore abrasion keep things moving at a healthy clip. Efficiency is part of the charm.
