Led by powerhouse vocalist Kate De Lombaert, Acid were one of the first female-fronted heavy metal bands to break through the underground scene. Backed by Demon (lead guitar), Dizzy Lizzy (rhythm guitar), T-Bone (bass) and Anvill (drums), they drew heavy influence from the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement that gave us legends like Iron Maiden, Saxon and Diamond Head.
Between 1982 and 1985, Acid released three hard-hitting albums on their own Giant Records label, each one a slab of pure, uncompromising heavy metal that has since become highly sought-after by collectors.
