Kerry King is an American guitarist and songwriter, best known for his legendary tenure with Slayer, one of the most influential thrash metal bands of all time. Over decades with Slayer, King helped craft iconic albums such as Show No Mercy, Reign in Blood, and Seasons in the Abyss, solidifying his reputation as a pioneer of extreme metal.
Following the end of Slayer, Kerry King embarked on a solo career, continuing to explore his aggressive, high-energy guitar work and signature metal sound. His solo releases include the debut single Idle Hands, released on February 5, 2024, and his full-length album From Hell I Rise, released on May 17, 2024. The album features 13 tracks showcasing King’s signature thrash style, with contributions from Mark Osegueda (Death Angel) on vocals, Phil Demmel (Machine Head, Vio-lence) on guitar, Kyle Sanders (Hellyeah) on bass, and Paul Bostaph (Slayer, Testament) on drums. The album received critical acclaim and was highlighted as one of the best metal releases of 2024.
